History
Our story began nearly 25 years ago when founders Larry and Jeff Neilson opened
the doors to Neilson Marketing Services in Laguna Beach, California in 1988.
They had a lot of experience in the insurance industry having worked for a
national insurance marketing firm and an insurance technology company before
venturing out on their own.
Since that time, Neilson Marketing has solidified itself as a leader in
insurance telemarketing, list purchasing, Internet marketing, email marketing,
social media marketing, and other game-changing solutions designed to capitalize
on technology and consumer buying habits.
It all started with insurance telemarketing, having provided more than 5,000
retail agencies, carriers, MGA, MGUs, wholesalers and vendors with our Best
Practices lead-generation services. From there as we established a reputation in
the industry for getting results, many of our agents began to look to us to help
them with their specialty markets.ProgramBusiness.com was born, an on-line
platform in which we connect our agency membership base with leading program
administrators, wholesalers, MGAs/MGUs, and others to find markets and write
difficult-to-place risks. Today we have 100 Storefronts who market their niche
products and services to more than 60,000 individuals in the agency space. More
than $1.1 billion in premium has been written on ProgramBusiness.com.
A couple of years ago, we put our insurance, marketing, and technology expertise
to work for our clients and developed Agency Tsunami , an integrated digital
marketing system. It was specifically designed for agencies to attract, close,
and build stronger relationships with customers. In only two years, we have not
only developed Internet Marketing and
Social Media Marketing solutions with
Agency Tsunami for retailers but have also expanded our offering to provide
MGAs, wholesalers, and those marketing specific niches with Internet marketing
solutions.
Our goal is to always continue to provide solutions that make a difference in
