Iroquois of Texas already numbers 15 independent agency members with a first year goal of 50 agencies. According to Haskins, "This is a great opportunity for small to medium-sized agencies to join with a strong, quality cluster that can provide them with the resources to prosper in the years ahead." Haskins went on to add, "Many of these agencies are currently producing under $2 million in premium volume which makes it very difficult to access markets under today's conditions. Iroquois solves that problem and much, much more."
Stallings, who added three agencies in the first week of operation, echoes Haskin's sentiments, "Over my years in the industry, I've always appreciated Iroquois's quality of resources and commitment to the small to mid-sized agencies. The hardening market is having a dramatic impact on these agencies and Iroquois offers them a better deal all the way around."
William (Twig) Branch, Iroquois Group President, was extremely enthusiastic about both appointments, "The Iroquois Group has been experiencing significant growth and expansion in recent years. The addition of Bob Stallings and Mike Haskins to our team made it practical to open and service these three new states. They bring a vast amount of experience with very successful track records in dealing with agencies from the company perspective. Coupled with their many agency relationships in their respective states, we believe they are uniquely positioned to bring the Iroquois resources to the small to mid-sized agencies throughout Texas, Arizona and New Mexico."
The Iroquois Group, headquartered in Olean, NY, has been described by the industry trade press as a "700-pound-gorilla" focused on assisting small to mid-size suburban and rural agents to build their businesses with access to quality insurance companies, reduced operational expense and higher levels of commission. Companies benefit from access to a proven, low-cost, low-risk distribution channel for their products.
